It’s secretly and quickly becoming one of my favourite times of the year, so heres my top 5 reasons why:
1. The clocks have officially changed
Okay, so you may have “lost” an hour of sleep, but look on the bright side you can actually leave the office and still see a brighter sky. The long cold nights and days are over for another 7 months so you can spend more time actually enjoying your days.
2. Summer is almost here
Considering how British weather is, this is extremely optimistic but it’s true as we’re approaching the final March hurdle we’re only a couple of months away until Summer is amongst us where we can on congregate in Hyde Park reenacting the final scenes of Grease, singing and dancing the nights away right?
3. You’re allowed to wear bright clothes without all the funny looks
This is my personal favourite, as most people who know me will know I never get the memo. I’ll be the person who’ll be wearing turquoise whilst everyone else is simply rocking black and grey. I’ll manage to throw a bit of colour in somewhere and I don’t mean a simple red lip. I’ll go the full works with a bright orange skirt or maybe a yellow jumpsuit? But since it’s spring time you can easily get away with rocking brighter colours without such judgemental looks from strangers and even people you know.
4. Get Fresh
So January and February weren’t your favourite months but Spring is a time to start fresh and this can be in any aspect. This is the perfect time to achieve anything which you think you’ve been procrastinating on. Clear your mind and stay positive, everyone seems to be slightly a bit more optimistic now the sun rises earlier.
5. You get to smell the flowers
You don’t get the full perks of summer but there is the advantage of the not so aggressive hayfever everywhere you go. I know for me personally my sinus’ act up from the slightest bit of pollen but I tend to find their not so bad in spring, so I can literally go outside and smell the flowers.
